Rare Payton #147 Olive-Colored Assorted Army Miniatures in Header-Packet

This is a rare #147 Header-Card Display-style packet of olive-colored "Assorted Army Miniatures" that Payton Products made in 1963 (dated as such on the back-side of the Header). Payton was the supplier of most Military-related items that Lionel used in a select few of their highly sought Uncatalogued Military Sets in the middle 1960s, most notably Sears Outfit #9820. These items were recently identified by stock number in John Schmid's outstanding book on Lionel's Promotional Outfits. Included in this group are the #958-50 Truck, #958-75 Tank, #958-150 Jeep, and #958-175 Cannon that were all used by Lionel, and approximately one-dozen Soldiers that Lionel did NOT purchase (Lionel opted for MPC Soldiers). We were present in the late 1980s when this exact item sold for over $800! This desirable assortment is New and Unopened, but does show signs of age and handling.
